"The room was comfortable, there was a microwave, electric heating and a kettle so we could make our own food. We needed batteries for the air condition (it was cold), they delivered very fast. Thanks!"

Unfortunately there weren’t enough cots but they ensured when we came back a couple of days later there was one for us. Perhaps a few more cots are needed.

"It was lovely staying in a traditional house in Kakopetria & being able to hear the river from our room. A lovely breakfast of cereals, toast, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, olives & cold meats (if you eat them) was provided. It was in a great location in the old town."

The bed was a bit soft for us, and it would have been nice to have a rug on the cold floor - we were there in March.

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

The mattress was slightly too hard.

"I loved the calmness, convenient location and very supportive team. Cyril made sure I had the best experience in Victoria falls. He also helped me with all my activities and recommended great places for me to eat at or visit. The place was great with all that I needed, fully equipped kitchen, delicious breakfast etc.I will add my ink and voice to the rest of the travellers to say this hideout is highly recommended. Thank you Cyril and Team. I made it safely Back to Uganda and will ensure you have more visitors from Uganda 😃"

"This place is simply amazing, what stands out is the attention to detail and the magical garden with pool. Highly recommend it for you nature lovers. The hosts were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. There is plenty of parking space, a bakery and exquisite french restaurant just around the corner. Pro tip: watch your step when going to the pool, turtles are sometimes patroling the area."
