"Mali House is one of the best places I've ever stayed in. Andy is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. I was feeling unwell at the start of the trip and Andy helped to make sure I was comfortable and looked after. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are immaculate. The patio is perfect for relaxing and soaking in the atmosphere! We even extended our stay because we didn't want to leave."

"The place is right on the morning market, which is great for picking up local breakfast. The place is made well sound proof so your sleep doesn't get disturbed if you don't wake up early. Furthermore, the rest of the city is in walking distance of the guesthouse. The room itself is compact but it has everything you need in it."

"Excellent location: the morning market is outside of the guesthouse, it is one minute walk to the Mekong River and 5 minutes walk to the night market. The owner Andy is very friendly and helpful and offers good advice for local restaurants, shops, banks, etc. Good air conditioning and WiFi."

The Mali house offers the cleanest rooms we have seen so far in entire south east Asia. There's no complementary breakfast, but this is no problem as the food market is literally next door! "Our room faced directly onto the morning market but you wouldn’t know it until you opened the doors to a lovely little courtyard. Room was clean, cooling systems good, hot water fine. Staff are very accommodating, with host Andy giving us a few IT tips."
