"A nice place to stay in Vang Vieng. The location was great and the staff were lovely. The room was basic and the bathroom could have been better, but would recommend as good value for money."

"Location is great, with river views and just across the bridge from the main town. Loved the complimentary transport to and from the station and the laundry. Staff were very accommodating when we had to leave early and made sure we still got breakfast. Views from the breakfast area are magic."

It could be a bit noisy with motor boats up and down the river and motor cycles on the bridge but it wasn't a problem

"Although the facilities are average and sufficient, not diverse, but compared to a hotel in the neighborhood, it is considered good. The room is bright, not outdated, the quality is still there, clean, tidy, furniture is easy to adjust. The staff is friendly, easy to communicate, polite."

"Beautiful historic hotel with amazing staff and a location that would be hard to beat. In the same street at the morning market and just at the end of the street is the bustling and fun night market. Street food market is a matter of minutes walk away as is the palace, temples, river and the viewpoint hill. All so close but the hotel is quiet at night so a good night sleep is to be had. Breakfast had varied choices and all cooked to order and eaten in the relaxing garden."

My only point was that as it is an old house you are asked to take off your shoes when you go upstairs - which is understandable - but the slippers they provide for use weren’t specifically for your room so could be used by other guests. Maybe small numbered bags or lockers would be a good idea. I simply walked with my socks on mostly.
