"Very clean house with a lot of space for many people. Warm and equipped with everything you might need. Quiet with amazing view of the mountains."

"This renovated farm house is near the end of a farm lane in a quiet area. The interior has been completely updated with very nice appliances and amenities. The bathroom and shower are very modern and spacious. The house is situated in the small hamlet of La Pierre and is adjacent to working farms. So it is not a commercial touristic area. The living area is on the upper floor which gives nice views of the hills and mountains nearby. The living area was very clean and the grounds were manicured and beautiful. A small portion of the farm house is used by the owner. The farm lanes are pleasant for walking. The clothes washing machine AND dryer were helpful. This was a rare property that provided a top sheet under the duvet, which is more comfortable. The boulangerie and TABAC/epicerie in Chauffayer (about 1 mile away) provide the grocery essentials."
"The water pressure and temperature fluctuated, especially in the shower. It acted like there were air pockets in the pipes sometimes. Maybe that is the nature of the water supply in that area or maybe it can be remedied. The floor has two changes in height. These are several inches high. If you remember them they are no problem. There are stairs to get up to the living area, which I didn't mind, but you should be aware they are there in case that would be an issue for you."

"Grand appartement situé au premier étage d’une maison, bien équipé et rénové. Grands placards, beaucoup de linge de maison. Bonne relation avec l’hôte. Petite attention avec une confiture offerte !"

"Fantastisch groot familie appartement op de 1e verdieping. Alles groot, schoon, netjes en luxe. De ‘boer’ en zijn vrouw wonen beneden en zijn de aardigste mensen ooit! Absolute aanrader in een klein dorpje op een half uur van een mooi azuur meer, een grote supermarkt en prachtige bergtoppen."

"De gîte is op de bovenverdieping (fikse trap!) van een prachtig eeuwenoud huis. Het was er koel, tijdens erg warme dagen. De keuken is goed uitgerust, de bedden liggen prima, de grote eettafel is gezellig. Het uitzicht is schitterend op elk moment van de dag. De tuin is enorm, er is altijd een schaduwplekje en het is er heerlijk stil. We werden uiterst hartelijk welkom geheten door de moeder en de zoon van de eigenaar, die zelf via mail ook goed bereikbaar was. De locatie is prima, langs de Route Napoléon. Prachtige motortochten gemaakt, en de motor kon in de schuur staan, ook fijn."

"We had a lovely 3 night stay at Gite La Source. Even though it was 35C outside it stayed cool downstairs inside the Gite due to the thick stone walls, and the main bedroom upstairs had air-conditioning. The Gite has been nicely converted, it had a powerful shower, a good size bathroom, a large main bedroom with a large comfortable bed. The Gite is on a very quiet side road in Mer so it made for a peaceful stay. There are 3 other Gites sharing the same courtyard entrance as Gite La Source, but La Source is the only one on the right hand side and has its own enclosed rear terrace. We visited Chambord, which is only 15 minutes by car, and Blois about 30 minutes by car. Mer has a good Super U just a few minutes from the Gite. It was an ideal place for our short stay."

We loved cycling the quiet back road and taking a dip in the river (although the current was too strong for our little dog 😄) The room was small but very clean and well designed. The two restaurants in the village were great for meals, snacks, just a drink or for ice cream."

We stayed in the converted chapel and it is an amazing renovation, there was a great use of space and decor. The breakfast was full of fresh produce from the garden, Sylvie gave us a tour of the garden and orchard and her recommendations of restaurants for dinner were spot-on."

"L'emplacement du mobile est super,proche de l'entrée du camping ,de la piscine et de toutes les activités. L'arrière donne sur la piste cyclable vélodyssée et nous avons pu aller à la plage en vélo quand nous en avions envie. L'endroit est magnifique. Le mobile home ne manque de rien,il est très fonctionnel."
