"It is a beautiful historic building, lovingly restored. Extremely comfortable bed and modern shower. Wonderful evening meal and breakfast. The swimming pool was a real bonus. Vincent is a very attentive host."

"Everything! A really warm welcome from the hosts and ensured we had everything we could need. We were travelling with our 8 month year old baby and they provided seats for the breakfast room and a lovely cot for the bedroom. The property has huge charm and the ample grounds were beautiful for a walk around the lake and through the woods... we even saw some deer! Breakfast was delicious, with local jams and we made good use of the well equipped kitchen for self catering our dinners. The host offered us some excellent local wine and gave a very good explanation of their complexity. The swimming pool area was lovely and we enjoyed with our baby. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and the modern shower huge and powerful! It felt a real privilege to stay at a chateau, and the experience was exactly as we hoped for. Would highly recommend it to anyone to stay!"

"Château l'Escale is a very charming place to stay, situated in a calm and well-kept private park. It is located on a hill some 30 mins by bike off the bike route "la Loire a Vélo". It is a tastefully renovated manor house with a heated pool in a covered greenhouse. We were staying there with our kids and had two beautiful rooms with a separate bathroom and a private balcony. All rooms are very clean and nicely renovated. Breakfast is lovely and make sure you ask for the home-made dinner, should you travel by bike (as there are no restaurants nearby). It is also possible to prepare a meal in the guest kitchen. We could leave our bikes in a secured shelter on the premises. The landlord is very nice and helpful and did everything to make our stay an unforgettable experience - thank you so much for your hospitality!"

"The location was lovely and the chateau was beautiful - comfortable while retaining lots of original features. The bathroom was large and modern. The large covered swimming pool was fabulous, with a lovely garden to sit in afterwards. There's a lounge for guests to use too. Breakfast in the morning was good and you can book an evening meal too (we left it too late, our fault). Friendly and polite hosts. Good value for money too."
