"Owner and host, Nicolas, has breathed life in to a grand but falling down town house and former shop in Montrejeau. The labyrinthine building dates in places from 1300AD and exudes charm and mystery (will you find the secret room in the 4 person suite?) and Nicolas has restored original features such as the centuries old parquet flooring and marble fireplace, the 1930s basin in the bathroom and the 1950s kitchen where we ate a delicious breakfast. We stayed only one night but it left a strong wonderful impression on all of my family. I have never previously been inspired to write a review of a hotel, but then I've also never stayed in a place where there is an old (but in tune) baby grand piano in my suite for my son to play, hidden doorways, and a charming walled garden with fruit trees from which the breakfast jam is made. Nicolas knows the history of the house and the local area and is happy to tell you about it if you are interested."
