The ambience of the chateau in our opinion has never been equalled Then you have the calm space in which to explore. All of this can only be achieved by terrific staff who can deliver service with great compassion and humour. Finally. If one then has to end praise , let it be to food and drink. Chef provides exciting menus and at this point I must mention George, our sommelier, who advised on perfect accompaniments for our food."

"Nice apartment on the first floor, owners live downstairs (friendly and helpful). Between the house and the beach in front of it is a well-used road. Guess it can get busy in summer. The town of Douarnenez suprised us, especially its social history. La Maison de la Sardine informs you more about that."

"Checkin was simple and easy. The host was very friendly. You don't realise how close the accomdation is to the city as its quiet and picture perfect, you feel like your in the countryside. The house is clean, comfortable, and smells fresh. A large bath to have an awesome soak. Beds are comfortable, and the cats had a lovely time exploring. Host allowed us to have a late checkout which helped massively and was very much appreciated. A perfect stop over for what we needed. We will be back."
