Penha Longa is an elegant palazzo-style estate situated among the rolling hills of the Sintra Cascais Nature Reserve. The 5-star resort features a 27-hole championship golf course, a state-of-the-art 1,500m² spa centre, and two of seven dining experiences hold coveted Michelin stars. All guest rooms feature private balconies, giving views across the landscaped gardens, swimming pools and golf courses. Beds are fitted with Egyptian cotton sheets, and all rooms are equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, air conditioning, iPod docking station, a high-speed internet connection and a plasma-screen TV. Each room has a private bathroom, with Diptyque amenities Penha Longa Resort has 7 restaurants, presenting a diverse range of cuisines and dining spaces. Perhaps the most famous of these is the recently-renovated Midori, Portugal's only michelin-starred Japanese restaurant. Also featured are Sergi Arola's LAB and Arola restaurants. The Penha Longa Mercatto italian restaurant is also the site of the daily breakfast buffet, with scenic views over the Sintra mountains. And the AQUA poolside seasonal restaurant. The resort's golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is in the top 30 in Continental Europe. The hotel has many recreation facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools, both tennis and squash courts, horse riding, fitness centre and a spa with treatments and an exclusive garden. A children’s playground, mini golf course and Kids' Club are also featured. Penha Longa is in a prime location for hiking and cycling excursions. The resort is a 25-minute drive from the Lisbon International Airport.

"Our room was spacious with a nice balcony and the bathroom was very large with a separate shower and bath tub. I loved the gym which was equipped with the newest TechnoGym workout stations. The property was just beautiful and we took long walks through quiet wooded areas. The spa was fantastic and the front desk immediately arranged for a free transportation anywhere on the property. A very unique and wonderful feature is that one never has to leave the property for world class dining. With two Michelin Star restaurants and several other great options for fine dining or more casual dining, this hotel truly stands out. The staff went beyond their call of duty to make our stay as pleasant as possible."

"Very nice pool area, great restaurants and tasty breakfast. A large property to take long walks, and an absolutely breath-taking golf course. It is a plus that the hotel has free chargers for electric cars."
"The deluxe rooms are 42 m2, that said they feel somehow very small because of the layout and size of the furniture. A breakfast is still 11 am but gets very packed on a weekend between 10-11. I would definitely recommend to extend the breakfast hours till 12 pm on weekends, otherwise the staff is not able to offer 5* breakfast like on other days. On a little minus side, there are 6 or 7 electric car chargers, but since it is a self parking and if you arrive late to the hotel, you miss the spot and have to wait till the car owners decide to leave and move their car. I would suggest EV charges are to be used only by valet staff that can change the cars that are being charged."
