"Location ! Perfect distance to Lisbon and the surroundings (Sintra, Mafra etc.), whilst having the best of the Portuguese backdrop ! Great hospitality right from the start, ease of check in (we got in at 11pm), and the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a comfortable one. Thank you !"

"The location is a challenging drive up through the Serra de Monte Junto mountain villages, many roads I had not driven before. Upon arrival, we were met very graciously by the host. The room accommodation was nicely laid out. The water for bathing is nice and hot, something that is not always found in Portugal. The bathtub is a nice deep soaker, however, as an older person, I found it difficult to get out of the tub. The communal dining area is an exceptional Portuguese layout. The grounds have been manicured for a very relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, I had come down with a fever at this point in my travels, and I was unable to appreciate the accommodations to their fullest."

The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
