"We had a wonderful stay here. Christina and her husband are excellent hosts, very caring and go above and beyond. Beautiful garden with pool. We used it as a base to explore Peniche, Ericiera, Lisbon etc. It was like home from home, except for Christina's lovely home bakes! Thanks"

Not very soundproof when people shower or watch Northern lights late at night. Bring earplugs when sensitive.

"My room was wonderful, airy, comfortable, clean with touches of local culture. Kevin was an excellent host, always cheerful, smiling, helpful. The bathroom was clean and the shower was spacious. The verandas are perfect. It was a great opportunity to stay amidst the local indigenous culture."

"Stayed here whilst on a cycle tour in the region, on advice of a friend who lives in Bangkok and had stayed here previously. I was not disappointed. Absolutely charming traditional property on the river and run by a couple that clearly take pride in providing hospitality. I loved it here. Having stayed in everything from backpacker places to 5* hotels, this stay will be remembered fondly for a long time. An excellent evening meal was also provided at a fair price (I gave advance warning I'd need to eat when I booked). Highly recommended."

Room is small for 4 persons despite the 2 queen beds, might be more suitable for 2 persons. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours move out and the vehicles that pass by the side road.

Staying in a whole house was great! The location allowed me to spend very quiet and comfortable nights. It was conveniently situated close to the coastal road and within easy walking distance. The kitchen was not equipped very well. It is sufficient only for short stays. So if you stay for two or three nights it is OK - otherwise you will not be able to prepare decent meals there.
