"We enjoyed all the food - fresh, home cooked, served in good time. Staff all very helpful & friendly, New management, recent refurb. They are trying very hard to get this right, and are. They deserve every customer, give The Buxted Inn a try! It's in an excellent location with quite a few tourist spots nearby."

"I liked the location, the free parking. The pub was welcoming and warm. The bedroom was clean with a nice ensuite. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, with enough choice."

"Our room was at the front of the property, which was on a road. This road is busy and although we did sleep well, we woke early with the traffic going pass and with a door down stairs that kept banging during the early breakfast period. We arrived on a Monday night and was told that no food was served on a Monday or Tuesday night. However another pub serving mostly burgers with a few vegan/vegetarian dishes, was recommended to us, which was about a 5 minute walk down the road."

"If you travel by car, and especially when it is dark, the roads aren't comfortable to drive on. The chef should be on time and fix a proper breakfast. I stayed in the hotel during the day and it was cold. There should be some heat. They should try the food before they refer the customers to go to the other pub for food. Food was aweful. The pub which was offfering food was very close to this pub. I wouldn't recommend it. At the same time, you cannot find any other shops or pubs aroun the corner either."

"A warm welcome from staff when I arrived late in the evening, just as the pub was closing up. The room was relatively spacious and very clean. Breakfast was individually cooked to order and was absolutely delicious, with excellent friendly service from the staff. There are no staff on site overnight (I think?) and I was warned that I would have to use the fire exit if I wanted to come in and out after closing time as if I used the main door to the pub, the burglar alarm would go off! The fire door entrance is operated by key card so it felt suitable secure."

"It's important to note that these are rooms above a pub, so I imagine there may be some noise in the evenings - I arrived very late so this didn't happen in my case, but may be important if you want an early night! The window in my room did not open (or maybe I just couldn't work out how to.)"

"Relaxed, friendly, well serviced, delicious food, great dinner, marvellous breakfast . Excellent shower, very decent beds, great staff."

"Nothing in the accommodation ( although their wine by the bottle was VERY overpriced at £38 for a very mediocre red . Sorry guys please review your pricing on your wines) and only one red, white or rosé by the glass."

"I know chef has to ride his motorcycle to get to work but it doesn't mean the customers should get lat breakfast. That is not acceptable."
