"The location is amazing - the terrace in front of the rooms has a wonderful view of the ocean. There is a possibility to cook your own food on the terrace. The ocean is 100 steps away and in the mornings there is a fish market. Right there you can buy fresh fish from the fishermen. The hostess Heidi is an excellent communicator and is very helpful in discovering the attractions in the surrounding area. Feel free to ask in English too!"

"The terras and outdoor kitchen are really nice. The room is small but good and clean."

"The garden downstairs is a complete mess with all kind of stuff, furniture and materials all over the place. It is not part of the hostel, but it feels like your are staying in the middle of a reclycling park."

"It was an absolutely fabulous stay at Cuello de Luna, it is a beautiful secluded property which makes you feel right out in nature. There are loads of animals which we loved, including the most gorgeous, friendly dogs! The whole feel of the hotel makes you feel like you’re staying at an alpine lodge. The food was home cooked and delicious, and huge portions! We had dinner at hotel each night which we loved, it was extremely good value. We loved getting to know the owner who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He organised two brilliant tours for us around Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. We really couldn’t recommend this hotel more, we loved every moment."

The property was extremely spacious and contains all required facilities, from a fresh water tap to a fully equipped kitchen, coffee maker etc. The bathroom was huge with good shower pressure. Above all, the staff is the best. The housekeeper Fabiola was so sweet and John (the owner) offered a complimentary Belgian breakfast (waffles and strawberries) on the rooftop terrace with seaview on our last day."
